Would he be welcome if he returned to Liverpool?

|

Liverpool are rumoured  to be interested in bringing  Tottenham’s Peter Crouch back to Anfield with a bid of £10 million. Would this be a good move for player and club?

I believe it would suit all parties concerned, with Liverpool needing another striker to back up and play with Torres. Roy Hodgson is anxious to add more firepower to his squad before the start of the new season and hopes he can persuade Harry Redknapp to release the England striker from his team. It is believed that that Crouchy is willing to return to his former club and has the full support of Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher, in fact, they are both urging the manager to make the bid.

What do you think, should the big man go back to Anfield?

we need a quality back up striker, crouch is not that man, bellamy would be a better bet re ex players, replace pace with pace.

We need to have a striker with pace rather than Crouch, we tend to play too much of the long ball when crouch is on the field. Go with Remy or even get Arfa and let bable play that position, he has everything in his locker just needs a run of games and a arm around the shoulder(which Benitez was never able to do)

paul, liverpool played rubbish football when we had crouch? was he not part of a team that reached the cl final and won the 2006 fa cup?? .. i think crouch would be a good signing he’d definately provide adequate backup for torres an he knows the club.. that just my opinion, time would tell though if it were to happen

I have heard from a good source that Hodgson is trying to raise £10m for an English striker but Peter Crouch is not the man he is looking to sign West Ham’s Carlton Cole and West Ham are apparently readying a deal for Yakubu of Everton should Cole leave.
