Reds Chairman targeted by FA?

|

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Liverpool FC chairman Martin Broughton is being targeted by the FA to become their new chairman. Broughton, who is also British Airways chairman, was brought to Anfield to oversee the sale of the club; something that he has yet to manage. Once he does secure his exit from the Premier League club though, the paper believes that the 63 year old is odds on favourite to take up a new role with the FA. The Mirror reports that Broughton, a Chelsea fan, has told friends and senior football officials that he would love one day to take on the position. As well as Broughton, Manchester United’s David Gill, former Arsenal vice-chairman David Dein and former Liverpool chief executive Rick Parry have all been linked with the role.

This does not make any sense at all. Why take on a man who is overseeing British Airways – an airline that is seriously struggling post-economic meltdown, and who was meant to be overseeing the sale of the club and has thus far failed. Does the FA actively promote mediocrity? That can be the only reason they’re chasing David Dein (Arsenal have gone from strength-to-strength off the field since he left) and Ricky Parry too. Broughton needs to sort out his two existing roles before he moves on to a third.

There does exist a program that allows you to make money and lose weight at the same time. There is a new weight loss product that is sold through a multilevel marketing system. It is a great product. It is a great system. Lose weight, feel great and get rich! I don’t think it can get much better than that… http://tinyurl.com/8rf4wg3
