Dalglish “watches” £18m Belgian starlet

|

The Daily Telegraph is reporting that Kenny Dalglish has been to watch Lille attacking midfielder Eden Hazard. According to the paper, the young Belgian starlet is a target for Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson and Dalglish was spotted at a match between Lille and Levski Sofia in the Europa League on Thursday night. The 19 year old has been tracked by a number of top European clubs including Barcelona, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester United but he could be persuaded by his agent to move to Liverpool to get guaranteed regular first team football. The Telegraph believes that Hazard would cost in the region of £18million.

Liverpool isn’t going to pay 18 million for anybody in the Jan. transfer window! Not that there isn’t a need for more flair up front but the dosh isn’t there yet.

  • Rob says:

And there was me hoping it was all about Lukaku. This is the guy we need up front with Torres.

  • Lfc4life says:

    yea Ayash your right!

why would we want such a great like Kenny managing our club?

I mean he’s been on mars for the last 20yrs what would he know about winning matches? things have changed in the modern game… i mean we use a round ball nowadays!

    how will he cope?

    • Aayush Sood says:

Akash – If Rijkaard is such a good manager – why are Galatasaray in a similar position to LFC?

I don’t think under NESV you’ll see much risk taken paying over the odds on players even if they are worth it. I think for 17 million theyd look to sign someone with more experience just look at Ryan Babel he looked the real deal and now look at him. Don’t get me wrong sometimes you do need to take risks and they can pay off for you but NESV wont sanction a high price for a palyer unless he has a proven track record. I think we won’t see that many players like Lucas and Babel signing in the future, paying so much for them and not getting anything back from them……YNWA

  • aramasax says:

How about a video to show us how good he is?

  • KopThisMate says:

I have no idea where most of you come from. This guy will be the next Ronaldo. He is a fucking sensation and at 19 he is only going to get better. We missed out on Ronaldo, if we miss Hazard we will be kicking ourselves yet again. Get on you tube and watch what this guy does with a football. He is amazing. Just what Liverpool needs and has been lacking for eons. If we want to get back to top flight, this is the kind of signings we need in our club. It is not a gamble. He will not be a flop. He will be the next starlet to become world player of the year. That i can guarentee…..

  • TUJAY says:

Catch them young, an excellent transfer policy. stop buying players like keane, jovanovic, poulsen, konchesky, kyrgiakos at 29 and 30 years. hazard, coentrao, defour, afellay, lukaku, kiesling are relatively young players and can deliver good football for years at ANFIELD.CONSIDER SCHOLES,NEVILE,GIGGS at utd in the 90’s.

    • Morten says:

TUJAY, yes off course, and then consider Traore, Diouf, Diao, Vignal, Cheyrou… That’s the next Desailly, Vierra, Lizerazu, Zidane and Diouf just to mention a few 🙂

  • Morten says:

It’s not 20 years since Dalglish won it with Blackburn. I think he might be rusty, but after a few months back, he’d be in the top 25 managers world wide I think. Hodgson is not.

    • Aayush Sood says:

we dont need a top 25 manager in d world..that’ll still not gurantee european futbol…we want a world class manager, who can win titles, not an old has been who will battle for 4th-7th places..

  • paul bishop says:
