Spurs and Reds battle it out for £14.5m man?

|

The Daily Mail is reporting that Liverpool will have to battle it out with Spurs for the signing of Lyon striker Lisandro Lopez. According to the paper, Harry Redknapp is desperate to sign another striker if he can offload one of his four forwards in January, while Roy Hodgson is seeking more firepower up front to support Fernando Torres. It was reported in the French and Portuguese media yesterday that Lyon were making Lisandro available for transfer and the 27 year old is believed to be available for around £14.5million. Much will surely depend of course on who owns Liverpool by the time the January window comes around.
