Time for our best players to show some PASSION

|

The manager’s tactics and team selection will always be questioned, especially when one win from eight games  is FACT.  Some of our summer signings will need time to adjust to the rigours of the Premier League, while others are already displaying another FACT – that they are simply not good enough to play for Livepool, number 3 – you know who you are.

Despite this, our current squad is good enough to be in the top half of the table.  This is why I believe it’s now time for the players involved to stand up and be counted.  If you can’t be motivated and have confidence  when earning the amounts they do, there is clearly a problem.  Everything doesn’t rest on the shoulders of Fernando Torres.  while the boss says that El Nino is not ‘unfit’ he is clearly lacking a sharpness derived from having little or no pre-season training.

Reina, Gerrard, Johnson, Carragher, Cole, Kuyt (when fit) have a huge role to play.  Experienced international players need to step up and deliver for their club, our club.  When these players step onto the hallowed turf at Anfield or the many other stadia they need to display the necessary character and passion that we as fans demand and expect.  The senior players need to take each game by the ‘scruff of the neck’ and start showing the undoubted quality that most of them possess.

Hodgson needs to quickly find the best formation and tactics for the chosen XI.  Raul Meireles needs to be utilised to unlease his full potential,  do we really need Poulsen and Lucas in the same starting line-up?  Should our top goal scorer this season be given more game time in the league?  When Johnson is unavailable, should faith be shown in Martin Kelly rather than the ageing Carra?  At the moment there appears to be more questions than answers.  Lets hope our players can find the answers on the pitch, starting with Napoli on Thursday night.

We need Roy OUT if we are to have a chance. He’s clueless and offers no reassurance to the players. End of!

Interesting to hear the throw away comment by Rafa about talking to some players about the new medical staff. perhaps all is not good in that department

i believe its not just about passion but some more would help, the Qaulity of some of our players are sub standard, some left over from what rafa left behind & some that have since come in, for me if we got a manager & we have that lacks passion & presents himself as dull then its hardly surprising that the team reflects that on the pitch.

I don’t care about intangibles like “passion” and “determination”. I want to see a side full of athleticism and quality!

Ragish stuff off what has roy hodgson done wrong he doesnt have anything to work with you shudnt pass comment on something you have no idea about!

King Kenny currently not doing anything major with LFC…perhaps roy can appoint him as a special assistant/trainer anything to get him a role with the LFC squad..i feel his presence would be more than enough to trigger the players and inject some passion into them, esp players with low sense of confidence & belief at the moment..

all these talks bout sacking roy will not happen until january at least…and we have to stick with what we have until jan transfer…but between now & jan, we need to improve…we cant remain on 19th till Jan or else no big name players in a right state of mind would wanna join us & fight a relegation…

and i really wish Roy would stop coming out the papers and defend his players like he did after sunday’s match…cant say BS like the players played well (second half or not) cos the fact was, as everyone knows, we were horrible against everton..we have nothing to offer at them…its been all everton from first whistle till last..there was no delivery to torres..the crosses into box were terrible..Gerrard couldnt get a single shot right…and carra…omg…his body language completely exposed what he’s gonna do or who he’s gonna pass the ball to…roy should never attempt to play him down the right ever again…

its time roy…to play an attacking formation…give it all out..and issue the players an ultimatum…cole & meireless must improve their form if we are ever gonna have a shot at equaling or better our table finish last season…
