Hazan: It doesn’t surprise me he’s been invited to Liverpool

|

Israel U17 coach Alan Hazan is not surprised that Liverpool have handed a trial to one of his players Omri Altman. Hazan stated:

“It doesn’t surprise me in the slightest that he has been invited to a club like Liverpool. I think it was a year and two months ago, when we set up the team, a journalist called me and asked me to pick out a player from Tel Aviv who I thought would stand out, and I immediately, without thinking twice, said Omer Altman. He has all the elements you look for in a player at the highest levels. He has physical fitness, excellent technical ability, and the ability to combine the defensive and attacking sides to his game intelligently, not like a 16 year old kid. He also has a great mentality, he always puts in the effort even thought he knows his worth. If Omri moves to Liverpool today I can say with absolute certainty that at 21 or 22 he will be a super important player at the club. The club will instill in him virtues of the highest level.”

Altman is an attacking midfield player who is currently on the books of Israeli club Maccabi Tel Aviv. He will be hoping to follow in the footsteps of Yossi Benayoun and Ronny Rosenthal, Israelis who also played for Liverpool.
