Liverpool manager Roy Hodgson has stated that Kenny Dalglish is playing an integral role is scouting players that could be signed in January:
“Kenny is doing a great job alongside us and we involve him in our scouting although he still works at The Academy and plays an ambassadorial role for the club as well. We have a chief scout but in particular I’ve taken an interest in player profiles. Many of the players we’re watching are looked at by myself, Sammy Lee, Mike Kelly and Kenny Dalglish. That’s what Kenny is good at. You cannot find a better person for that at Liverpool than Kenny Dalglish.”
Hodgson also revealed that before he went to scout yesterday’s opponents Bolton last week, Kenny asked if he could come along:
“He said did I mind if he came with me and I said I’d be delighted. He insisted on driving, which is always nice. I hate driving.”
