Liverpool youngster Nathan Eccleston was delighted that he played a part in Liverpool’s 3-1 win over Napoli last night.He told Liverpoolfc.tv:
“It was exciting to be involved in a game like this and that was the biggest game of my career so far. It’s something I want to experience on a regular basis for the rest of my life. I know I’ve got to work hard and I’ve got to take every game as it comes and treat it as though it’s my last. I really enjoyed it out there and every opportunity you get to play in the first team you’ve got to show what you can do. I’d like to think I took my opportunity and I was just glad to be a part of it on a European night at Anfield.”
Eccleston came on to play on the left hand side in the second half, making a good impact as Liverpool turned around a 1-0 deficit.
