According to Italian website Tuttomercato, Liverpool may sell Danish midfielder Christian Poulsen back to his former club Schalke 04 in the January transfer window. The 30 year old was only bought for £4.5million from Juventus back in the summer but has failed to establish himself in the Premier League. German Bundesliga side Schalke are believed to be preparing a €3.5m bid for the midfielder and the website claims the Reds may allow the Dane to leave. Poulsen played for Schalke for four years before moving to Spanish club Sevilla in 2008.
