Maxi: Top Four finish is “not impossible”

|

Liverpool winger Maxi Rodriguez still believes that the Reds can finish in the top four this season. The Argentinean said:

“Of course we’d like to finish in the top four but we don’t want to put more pressure on ourselves. We will fight for whatever we can and it’s not impossible. The title race this season is very complicated and we know it would be difficult to be up there. But the team doesn’t do maths adding up the points – we just go game by game to see how we can do this season. From now on every game is a final for us regardless of the opponent. You have to win every one and you can only do that by playing well. I know the fans are suffering this year but I promise we will fight to finish as high in the table as possible.”

Maxi has had a lengthy spell in the first team in recent weeks, impressing manager Roy Hodgson.

the problem at Liverpool is that there’s never any pressure to achieve anything. Man U don’t tend to applaud mediocrity in the same manner that we do, which is why they continue to rack up trophies and we just plod along, accepting whatever we can get handed to us
