Reds Starlet: “The best thing would be to go out on loan”

|

Liverpool starlet Dani Pacheco has admitted to Guillem Balague that although he is delighted to have signed a new contract, he believes that going out on loan to get first team football in January could be best for him:

“I’m delighted to have signed a new deal. I’m being sincere when I say that I see my future here, I’d like it to be so. I’m training well and Roy Hodgson is happy with me; he’s seen what I can do in the Europa League. In order to get some playing time, and if it suits the club, the best thing would be for me to go out on loan. However, we will have to see how things stand in January and if the club are in agreement, then a loan move might be best for everyone.”

Pacheco started against Steaua Bucharest in the Europa League last Thursday.

This week it is self-proclaimed Liverpool supporter and Tennis ace Caroline Wozniacki!

I don’t really agree on loaning Pacheco out in January. We haven’t got many tricky, creative players at the moment and I’d like to see him given a chance in Premiership games. We will need him in the Europa League and also against lesser teams. If youngsters like Eccleston, Shelvey and Spearing get a chance to play then so should Pacheco but if Hodgson does decide to loan him out, I hope he loans him out to another Premier league team like Blackpool or West Brom so he can adapt to the rigours of the English game and come back a better and stronger player.

I agree with loaning him out to a Premiership club. Anything lower than the Championship is of no benefit to the player or the club, and loaning players abroad often leads to them wanting to stay abroad after the loan period ends too
