Agent: No other Italian club will look to buy Reds midfielder

|

Alberto Aquilani’s agent Franco Zavaglia is confident that a permanent move for his client from Juventus to Liverpool will take place in the summer, although he is not 100% sure. He also revealed to Radiomercato.com that he doesn’t believe any other Italian club will come in for the player:

“Juventus and Liverpool have already reached an agreement for the player some time ago. The Bianconeri directors absolutely intend to buy him permanently at the end of the season and have repeated it many times. Everything that has been said in the last few days is just hilarious. Liverpool certainly will not give a discount and the player will leave only with the agreed-upon figures. If Juventus do not buy Aquilani outright, then he will return to Liverpool, even if he wants to play in Italy…I don’t think there are any Italian clubs that can have him other than Juventus.”

It was reported earlier this week that Juventus were only willing to pay a fraction of the £13.5million buyout clause in the loan agreement.

It sounds like that even Aquilani’s agent doesn’t think he is much of a player. What a disaster it will be for the club’s summer transfer policy if this bum can’t be sold for 10 million or more. It will be another shining example of ‘BENITEZ’S LEGACY’.
