Of course, all Liverpool fans are sad to see the back of Fernando Torres. The Spaniard has been such an exciting player to watch over the past three and a half years and some of his efforts in a red shirt will never be forgotten. However, now is the time to back our new attacking force. Regardless of the amount of money shipped out to bring together Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, there is no doubt that Liverpool fans will back the duo to fire the team back to the glory days. There will be added pressure on both strikers to make up for the goals we will lack due to the absence of Torres, but if Liverpool fans are famous for anything, they are famous for their patience and belief in their players, especially new additions.
Both Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez fit into the category of player that Fenway Sports Group had indicated an interest in bringing into Liverpool when they arrived. They had insisted that they were willing to spend money on young, talented players and there is no doubt our new Number 7 and Number 9 have both of these qualities.
Liverpool now head into an important period of their season having been re-shaped and re-structured. With King Kenny still settling back into his seat in the Anfield dugout, he now has a brand spanking new strikeforce to work with to send Liverpool back up the table and spark a revival in fortunes that every single Liverpool fan longs for, and ultimately, deserves.
Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, one thing is for sure, from now on, You’ll Never Walk Alone.
