Benitez: I would like to be LFC manager again in the future

|

Former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez hopes to have a chance of managing the Merseyside club once again in the future, although he feels he will have to wait for a while with Kenny Dalglish in charge. He said to the BBC’s Football Focus programme:

“Always to be manager of Liverpool is a dream. At this time I know that Kenny is doing really well so I have to wait and just keep watching games and that’s it. But if you say to me in the future you would like to be manager, for sure, (there is) no doubt about this. When is the question but I have to move forward anyway.”

Benitez also stated that striker Fernando Torres would have been worth £70million in the past if he had kept up the form he had during his first years at the club:

“I think last year we were talking about £70m. People were talking about maybe you will receive an offer from another club, they were talking about £70million. Torres was not playing at the same level the last time, but he is still a very good player. It’s big money but could be even better.”

This week it is even more of Liverpool WAG Alex Curran!

    he doesn’t need to be promoting himself for another man’s job!
    been there, done that, don’t want to do it again!
    you were part of our decline and you mucked up the treble-winning european champions!
    you are the past……….Lfc is looking toward a bright future!

    Kenny is a majestic manager and there’s no reason for a step back in the past.
    We’re looking forward for a bright future with the best manager of the league in charge.
    Long live to The King.
    I respect Rafa’s love for Liverpool, but his time is past.
    Instead of promoting himself for the King’s Job (as John Walter Henry hints to a permament deal), He should look for another Job, particularly in this home country.
    We have a Great Manager, our King.
    Best whishes for the future, but You have had your chance: your professional relationship with LFC is over.
    Move on Rafa.

    If Rafa had not stap his dummy out or got too power hungary, or maybe bought a top striker instead of Aqua then maybe things would have been different!

    As it stands, I would not swat out situation for anything else. kenny knows our club, he wont play for draws or buy mediocre players..

    I hope all LFC fans have finnaly got peace in their soul

    Liverpool will be looking to sell;
    aquilani-
    the fee that has been agreed to be paid is 13.1 mill, although expect to recoup 10 million is probably closer

    degen, el zhar, plessies,insua (those loan deals will end) and they will all be sold for a net worth of around 4-5 mill.

    Poulsen and konchesky are to high wages and too old and they do not give the team anything, they will be sold for a net worth of around 4 mill.

    jonavovic will go for around 4- 5 mill.

    the older players like joe cole, soto, and aurelio and even maxi may go, but have heard that maxi and aurelio may stay, aurelio is a great squad player to have and so is soto, maxi still plays nice football, and i know that kenny rates him, but id think that cole and soto may head out.

    soto- his attitude is great, never moans just gets on with it ans you can see he is about the club not him, great squad player but is not getting any younger.

    Cole for me, can go. gets crocked to much, has lost his pace and for me is on to much wages that are a waste of our resources.

    for me id sell;

    joe cole, soto, poulsen, jovanovic, konchesky, degen, insua, el zhar, plessies, aquilani, brad jones( too old and for me we have younger keepers who are already young internationals that can lower the wage bill and give us better service, jones was a stupid buy, by roy, a waste of our resources again!!

    with thses gone id like to see;

    coentrao or cissokho -in at left back
    marin or mata -in a winger
    young or hazzard -in as another winger
    mats hummel or cahill – in as center half

    and a center midfielder enforcer-
    to many to name.
    we need 5 new players in the summer to then get the squad to make a huge challenge next season.

    team next year
    REINA
    KELLY CARRGHER HUMMEL COENTRAO

    YOUNG GERRARD RAUL MATA
    CARROLL SUAREZ
