Loan Watch – What are Amoo, Eccleston and the rest doing?

|

Nathan Eccleston – Since we last talked about the young striker, he has been linked with a move to Everton after his loan spell finishes in the summer. On loan at Charlton, he continues to impress. After scoring in the 2-1 loss to Hartlepool, he started against Exeter City at the weekend. Despite being on the losing side, Eccleston can be pleased with his performance, showing a good work rate and attitude as well as showing his pace, dribbling skills andtroubling the Exeter defence with his good movement and step-overs.

Emiliano Insua – The Argentinean full back is struggling for games at Galatasaray. After the winter break, it looked promising that the 22 year old maybe given some greater opportunities by coach Gheorghe Hagi when he started in the away 2-0 loss to Bursaspor at the end of January. Since then though, he hasn’t featured in the 4-2 victory over Gaziantepspor or the 1-0 defeat to Gaziantepspor, and he was an unused substitute against Bucaspor on Saturday when Galatasaray won 1-0 through a 76th minute goal from Juan Emanuel Culio. The Turkish side now lie 6th in the table, 18 points behind leaders Trabzonspor.

Nabil El Zhar – The Moroccan winger has regularly been used as an impact substitute this season rather than as a nailed on starter for PAOK Salonika. Since the winter break, he has been a sub in three consecutive 1-0 losses against Panathanaikos, Panionios and CSKA Moscow in the Europa League.

Aquilani is a rubbish player and Benitez should be lambasted for such a terrible signing. Why do Liverpool keep sending players out to lower division clubs where they make little or no impact, they would have been better getting the likes of Blackpool and West Brom to take the likes of Amoo on loan.

I’m sick of seeing your negativity “Kenny” on every article, if you have nothing nice to say then don’t say it! Every player is crap, Benitez was crap, the club is crap. You only have good things to say about manure and red nose fergussen, why don’t you just p*ss off and become a manure supporter???

  • Mike says:

The only loanees that will make it at Liverpool are ironically, two of the ones you didn’t mention: Ayala and Mavinga. Two promising defenders who should be given a chance next season. Defenders like Darby, Degen, Konchesky and Insua should be shipped out in the summer. They are simply not good enough for Liverpool. As for Aquilani, even if Juventus cannot afford him, I’m pretty sure other Italian clubs are interested in him and are willing to pay 13m for the guy.

David Amoo and Nathan Eccleston, both 20 and still playing in League One, will not make it at Liverpool. El Zhar, already 24, does not have a future at the club. Kenny will most probably let these three all leave in the summer.

In response to Paul, it is because of socalled fans like you that Liverpool have not won the Premier League since 1990. If you woke up you would realise that the winning mentality that Ferguson created at Old Trafford was copied by him from the great Liverpool teams of the 1970’s and 1980’s so does it not make sense for Liverpool to copy what Ferguson has done at Old Trafford that has bought him soon to be 12 Premier League titles since 1992. Paul, do you prefer instead for Liverpool to be wasting their time on rubbish trophies like the Europa League.
