According to the Daily Mirror, Newcastle’s agreement with Liverpool over the sale of Andy Carroll includes a 25% sell on clause if the Reds ever want to sell the 22 year old. In addition to this, the paper believes that the Reds paid the majority of the £35million transfer fee up front with as much as £30million already in the Magpies’ hands. Usually, club’s pay such large transfer fees in installments but Newcastle forced the hand of the Reds on transfer deadline day, according the the Mirror, to pay most of the fee up front as well as include a large sell on clause.

if this is true then we are crazy. £15m over the odds and now 25% sell on clause, Newcastle must be pissing themselves at Comolli’s incompetence
If its from the mirror it must be true!
Do not believe it. Liverpool might have been desperate, (Thanks El Judas) but we are not stupid.
