Former Liverpool defender Mark Lawrenson believes that the Reds need to buy two quality wingers in the summer. Writing in his column for the Liverpool Daily Post, he said:
“Liverpool clearly need more variety in attack – as reflected in Andy Carroll’s performances in his first couple of starts this week. He needs the right kind of service and there’s no way you will get the best out of him without a couple of good quality wide men. Dalglish wil be aware of this and while he does have the makings of a decent team, he needs to change the shpe of it to ensure his new-look attacking line-up fully thrives. This is what I think could cause him the most worry this summer – not the issue of whether he will get a permanent job or not. That’s already in the bag.”
Lawrenson has been delighted with Dalglish’s performance as manager but he believes that King Kenny needs to be backed with cash in the summer to ensure that the team can consistently perform at the highest level:
“What Dalglish really needs to make his position stronger is backing. Plenty of investment in a squad that still needs a lot of work. Despite that, he’s still doing a great job, with 20 points from 10 games. Average that out over a Premier League season and, based on last year, you’d be strolling back into the Champions League. But to maintain that kind of form over a campaign and return the Reds to Europe’s top table, he needs better than he’s working with at the moment.”

That’s right Lawro..we dont have any good wingers and to get the best out of Carroll,you’d need a “Bale” style player with Crouch the target man in Tottenham..Crouch aint the best dribbler in the world but it horrifies defenders when it comes to headers..remember the great game Soto had when he was giving his best against him in Liverpool-Tottenham 2-0 last season..Ashley Young could be sold for only 12million because his contract is exprining which is a STEAL in my opinion..Alexis Sanchez aint cheap(would cost 30+million actually)but he is a gem..other good options Dzsudzsak,Elia,Marin,Perotti,Navas,Diego,Honda,….My dream Liverpool squad:

Hopefully this summer King Kenny can clear the 13 dead wood/average/mediocre players still at and on books of club: Jones GK, Krygiakos CB, Degan RB, Koncheskey LB,Insua LB, Aurelio LB, Poulsen DM/CM, Lucas CM/DM, Jovanovic LW/RW/FD, J Cole RW/LW/AM, El Zhar RW/LW, M Rodriguez RW/LW/AM and D Ngog FD.
And then the owners need to back King Kenny with £80-£120M of their money and whatever money King Kenny can bring in on the sale of the dead wood/mediocre/average players should also be given to King Kenny to use on a huge transfer process as the squad at the club needs drastic and major surgery completed as soon as possible.
And 13 should be going out,then 10 players coming in:
1: A GK: W Hennessey Of Wolves should be brought in for £3-£7M
2/3:Two centre backs should be brought in as Carragher has been great amazing class solid loyal servant of club but he is on his last legs and has one more good season of football left in him: S Kjaer Of Wolfsburg should be brought for £8-£12M.
And G Cahill Of Bolton,S Danns Of Birmingham Or R Shawcross Of Stoke should be brought to club for £12-£16M.
4/5:Two Left backs are needed desperately: Taiwo Of Marseille should be brought to club on a free transfer and J Enrique Of Newcastle should be brought for £3-£6M.
6/7:Two Defensive Midfielders should be brought to club to fill gap Mascherano has left at club:Moussa Sissoko Of Toulouse should be brought to club for £10-£14M and B Matuidi Of St Etienne Or M’Villa Of Rennes should be brought in for £10-£14M.
8:A Right Winger: A Young Of A Villa should be brought to club for £12-£17M to play as out and out right winger at club.
9:A Left Footed Left Winger: D Capel Of Seville,R Drenthe Of Real Madrid Or C Nzogbia Of Wigan one of these players should be brought to club for £8-£14M to be clubs Left Footed Left winger.
