Portuguese newspaper the Record believes that both Chelsea and Bayern Munich are monitoring Benfica’s Portugal international left back Fabio Coentrao. The 22 year old has also been linked with Liverpool in recent months but the paper states that the German and London clubs are leading the race for the player’s signature. Coentrao is said to be considering his options ahead of the opening of the summer transfer window but has insisted in the past that he is in no rush to leave Benfica and Portugal.
