Sissoko: I want to leave Toulouse

|

Toulouse midfielder Moussa Sissoko has alerted interested parties Liverpool and Tottenham by declaring he wants to leave the French club. He told L’Equipe:

“I’ve had four years at Toulouse, four years in which I have really progressed. Maybe it’s time for me to look elsewhere. Maybe a new challenge is needed for me to reach the next level. I need a new challenge. I need to be playing in the Champions League, quite simply. In my head, yes, I would like to go elsewhere. Everything else is out of my control.”

His desire for Champions League football may however rule out a move to Anfield.

I would love to see him at Anfield he is just what we need.

It shouldn’t be too hard to convince him to come if we offer a decent wage and evidence that the club is committed to moving forwards (via progressive transfer plans that sees the deadweight moving out to be replaced by younger & better players such as Sissoko himself)

As long as we aren’t competing with Man U or Chelsea then we should be able to beat out any other Premier League club for his signature (higher wages and better prospects than Spurs, lower wages but more game time than at Man City and Arsene Wenger remains too stubborn/foolish to be interested)
