Marseille president Jean-Claude Dassier has stated he has no idea which club left back Taye Taiwo will join this summer. The Nigerian international has been linked with a number of clubs, including Liverpool:
“We tried to keep him but he wanted to go elsewhere, like Niang last year. We made good proposals to Taye but he refused. We do not know where he will go – whether it is to the English league, Italian or Spanish.”
Taiwo is out of contract in the summer but has yet to sign a pre-contract agreement with any club.
