Kenny: “We need to get players who complement them”

|

In wake of Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat to West Brom, manager Kenny Dalglish believes new signings will have to be made in the summer to help get the best out of Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez:

“Andy is part of our team, so is Luis Suarez so we need to get players who complement them. Whatever we need we will go for.”

Dalglish is also sweating over the fitness of Steven Gerrard who suffered a recurrence of his groin injury in training :

“It’s disappointing for Steven because he has missed a few games and was training really well and looking forward to being back in among the lads. It’s disappointing for the player first and foremost. He’s also a hell of a player. Everybody wants to get their strongest team on the pitch but injuries are part and parcel of the game and you just have to get on with it.”

I hope Kenny doesn’t turn into a Martin O’Neill type manager being obsessed with buying 2nd rate British players and hitting it long to Andy Carroll all too often so far. Forget limited players Matt Jarvis or Stuart Downing – players like Juan Mata are more suitable for Liverpool.

We need real quality, not average players. There’s aren’t too many real quality British players available to buy so we must look abroad.

Great Teams are a perfect mixture of good homegrown players & outstanding players of Abroad.
So We have a lethal mixed powerforce in Luis Suarez & Andy Carroll.
Is Luis Suarez An English Player? Definitely NO, and Kenny oversee the signature of the striker, and no one else.
Kenny is open minded and He’s a great Manager Who doesn’t need wrongs suggests from erratic anti – british fans.
Good Players are required to build a great side excatly as much as outstandind players like Luis Suarez.
Young, Jarvis, Adam Johnson are all brilliant wingers Who can provide good crosses from the wide are: what is required to jump on another level and They are all british.
Time is over at Anfield for average & unfair players like Albert Riera.

tend to agree with alan, outside of Ashley Young or Adam Johnson there’s few quality English options.

Mata specifically isn’t the best because he’s said in the past he doesn’t want a move to England. He’s worried that the weather, culture, food, lack of friends, etc. will make him homesick. Bojan or Jesus Navas would also be brilliant. but unfortunately the biggest downside about Torres leaving is now I fear spanish players will want to avoid Liverpool. “If Torres didn’t like it why would I?”

But there are still players like Dzudzcak or whatever on PSV, maybe Lavezzi

Still need one more major signing to get players’ heads turning and squad to feel optimistic

Fair play but Navas is even more homesick than Mata. The boy used to get panic attacks travelling to away games! it is only recently he has gotten over his phobia, allowing him to go to SA. Navas will not be leaving Spain any time soon.

Perotti on the other hand could be a very useful signing.
