Atletico Madrid general manager Miguel Angel Gil Marin has stated that Sergio Aguero will not be joining Real Madrid. He said to El Larguero.
“He (Aguero) is not going to go to Real Madrid. I called (Real president) Florentino (Perez) to ask him if we could maintain this commitment to not being hostile and he agreed. Either a club, that is not Real Madrid, comes in and puts €45m (£39m) on the table or he stays at Atletico Madrid. We don’t want to negotiate with anyone.”
Gil Marin confirmed that the only contact they have had is with Juventus
“Atletico Madrid don’t have any offers, only a fax from Juventus saying they want to negotiate. It is a letter saying they are keen to negotiate, but Atletico don’t want to negotiate. We want a decision before 15th June because it is a decision that has huge implications on our sporting plan.”

To buy or even try to bring him to Liverpool would be the best thing since buying suarez.
This little fella is fast, nipppy on the floor, not bad in the air for his size, he is hardkly ever out with an injury either?.
For me if we could make just 3 top signings then so be it, id rather huge quality with many of the kids, youth and some younger players backing up the team with that.
Aguero is so good, its crazy, he has been around for ages and still very very young with a huge 5-8 years of football ahead.
I know its down to money and if he would ever think of a move to Liverpool, but come on we must try and od what ever it takes to get this player to lfc.
He can float and play down the wings, he can play as the second striker also, bare in mind he can run and dribble better than most so called wingers too.
If we had suarez in the form he was in for us of late and with kuyt knocking people about and not stop running around creating space for another suarez which aguero is a suarez type player but with more pace, then you can only dream of the fornt 5 – 6 we would then have.
Aguero would fit in to, he has maxi here, one of his best mates, also lucus, raul, reina, aurelio, that speak the lingo also.
Factor this also,,,, he is looking for a stable club after the atletico situation, at the moment liverpool is avery stable and only going forward.
Aguero would make so many headlines, make so many firms, make so many people of the football world see liverpool once again as a new force, this deal has win win writtern all over it, its hard to see for any reason why FSG would not want this.
It would alos make their profile within the sports market go up, it will sell more shirts than any torres shirt sales ever did, and for me with aguero at liverpool, with gerrard slowing down a bit and with or lack of world class talent, aguero must be a liverpool player by 15th june.

absolutely agree with the opening post. This guy is so good. His cost is very high but given his ability,age,playing time left(min 7 years) his price tag isnt that bad. Also its quality and not quantity we need ieven if that means 2-3 transfer windows to sort it out. Get in players like mata(age 23). They are established with real quality and if the want to move on in 4 or 5 years theres good resalue value.
God 4 million extra and we could of had him instead of Carroll I knew we should’ve waited till the summer to spend the money Aguero & Suárez would’ve been unstoppable..Carroll is always injured and I hate to say it but the team plays better without him because they keep it on the ground the Liverpool way..
I agree with you Patrick.. I don’t want to knock Carroll because it is very early to say that he was a bad buy.
But I have noticed that Liverpool play much worse when he is playing they. There pass and move game suddenly goes to pot and they start hoofing the long ball to Carroll all of a sudden..
Also we did pretty well and he was only able to play 3 or 4 games for us, which means it wasn’t really necessary to buy him in January.
erm. If Juventus can talk about buying Aguero, can’t they stump up a few mil more for Aquilani?? Strange?

Hes a fan wears his YNWA captains armband with pride and was offered to Rafa before he joined Ath Madrid but Rafa said no but regretted that decision later. However i don’t see us spending 39 mill on 1 player when Kenny apparantly has 50 mill to spend. Even after selling some of the bench warmers we’ll still have around 65-70 mill or there abouts and with the market at the moment with prices so inflated and clubs like Man S****y prepared to get ripped off n pay over the odds for players it doesn’t bode well for the rest of the clubs who have to pay more.

honestly, i would have loved aguero being at liverpool but all lfc need now are defenders and wingers so putting £39m on a forward looks unusual. However, money speaks. If lfc owners could afford all the signings we need +aguero then it would be great……

no club in their right mind would pay 8 mill for Ngog, the club just valued him so high so we can actually achieve a realistic price like 4 mill maybe 5, i they started at that they would get maybe 2 mill or less, but hes not worth 8 mill thats for sure
Can see this happening in a 4-3-2-1 with Carroll up top with Suarez and Aguero playing off him, you have skilled feet mixed with strength + Three of the best strikers around, would go as far as saying better than Chelsea’s strikeforce.

I don’t mean to burst anyones bubble, but 6 years ago he cost half that and we had the chance to buy him and we didn’t!. We need him..YES, but WE WILL NOT GET HIM! LFC will be aiming for a striker around the £10-15 million mark! However I do think we already made a bad mistake by not taking Daniel Sturridge for £5 in the Torres deal! That would have been perfect with Sturridge, Carroll, Kuyt and Suarez up front! Thats better than any Quartet in the league! Even if we get Gervinho (if he wants to come), or even Miroslav Klose (who is on the Free and would help young Suarez and Carroll) would be good at this point! WE NEED WINGERS AND A LB!!! and not Sanchez as we all know he wants Euro football immediately, however there is still Arda Turan out there WHO WANTS TO PLAY FOR LFC! Park Chu Young, Leighton Baines, Turan, Sturridge and Dann and we are good to go until January!

Still cant belive there are so called fans that have already written off Caroll. Most likely because he doesnt have an exotic name. If KK thinks Caroll is a valuable addition then who are we to argue. Just remember KK knows more about football then any of us do.
At the end of the day, Torres left and we needed another striker. We were always going to pay over the odds as it was Jan transfer window, but Caroll has shown enough this season to suggest that he could do a job for us!
Lets just wait and see how he does next season before we write him off!
