Correio da Manha in Portugal is reporting that Benfica have agreed a €25million fee with Real Madrid to sell their left back Fabio Coentrao. On top of the initial €25m fee, €5million will be due to Benfica based on appearances and future success. The Portugal international has been chased by the likes of Chelsea, Manchester City and Liverpool, but it now looks as if Madrid are favourites for the player’s signature. Coentrao coincidentally has the same agent as Real manager Jose Mourinho, which only looks to strengthen the possibility of any deal.
