Rumour Mill: Reds have £4M bid for left back rejected?

|

The Daily Mirror is reporting that Liverpool have had a £4million rejected by Newcastle for their left back Jose Enrique. According to the paper the Reds made an informal approach to the Magpies and suggested an offer in the region of £4million but Newcastle were not prepared to do business at that price. The North East club are resigned to losing the player this summer after the Spaniard failed to open negotiations over a new contract, but according to the paper, they have made it clear to all potential bidders that they value the player in the region of £15million.

This week it is former LFC WAG Gisela Molinero!

Newcastle should know football history – in these contractual circumstances only a nominal fee is usual . I would suggest £1.5m but if it goes as high as £4m then so be it .

Do Newcastle seriously think that they are going to get 15m for Jose Enrique. Liverpool should focus on signing Leighton Baines for that price but if they want Enrique they should not go beyond 6m for him.

Get Izzaguire, he’s better and probsbly cheaper.

I agree with Jacques but the problem is
Manchester United, Arsenal, and Aston Villa are sniffing around.
Also Izaguirre has said he does not want to consider his future until he completes his commitments to the Honduran national team.
When will that be, can Kenny wait around on the off chance of signing him.

  • Jack says:

Is that not the same paper that claimed Liverpool had agreed 14million deal with Newcastle for the player two months ago??
