The People reported yesterday that Liverpool are interested in Spanish pair Alvaro Negredo and Iker Muniain. Sevilla striker Negredo is also wanted by Sunderland, who want the forward to replace by Darren Bent, but they could face stiff competition from the Reds and Real Madrid for the player who could cost £15million. Athletic Bilbao winger Muniain meanwhile, is only 18, and the paper reports that Reds scouts have been watching the Spanish U21 international for a few months. Muniain has been on good form this season but he has a buyout clause of £25m, and his contract runs to 2015.
