Why Kenny is in no doubt about our American owners

|

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has every faith in Fenway Sports Group that they will invest in rebuilding the squad this summer. He told Liverpoolfc.tv:

“There’s no figure on [the transfer budget] and if there was we wouldn’t publicise it but the desire and the intention is there. A good way to judge it is that they were disappointed we didn’t get more players in January. Their intention was there but we just couldn’t get the players. People may be cynical and say selling Ryan Babel and Fernando Torres almost balanced the books with Luis (Suarez) and Andy (Carroll) coming in. But Luis was coming in anyway before Fernando went.”

It seems as if then that all systems are go for an eventful summer for the Reds with many comings and goings in the months ahead. With Kenny already stating that only quality players will be brought in to the football club, I have no doubt in my mind that the Reds will be a much stronger outfit come August.

Although there has been mention from John W Henry that Liverpool’s wage structure was a significant worry, especially with the standard of players at the football club, any worries about FSG not investing the required amount to improve the squad over the summer have been laid to rest by King Kenny.

Of course many cynics pointed out in January that despite spending £57m in January, the sale of Babel and Torres meant that net spend was pretty negligible. Dalglish however has stated already that Suarez was due to come in even without Torres’s sale. The fact that they were “disappointed” not to get more players in January gives us tremendous hope for the summer months ahead.

Richard is quite correct in his statement , why is the title not corresponding with the story , are you a numbskull , One would suggest one sees to it that this is put right at once , monkeybrains.

Sorry Guys, I missed out the word “no” in the title. Not deliberate on my part. Sorry to any NewsNow readers.

Yes, the title is wrong, but lets take it as an honest mistake (as pointed out by David’s confession above), and lets not bad mouth David, please !

That one’s easy Richard. The idiot author of this picks out any old heading for his articles that will make you hit his site. The more controversial they are the better. So you see how much you can value his “opinions” in light of this – zero!

The title doesn’t make sense but whatever.

Before signing any players, Kenny and Comolli should get rid of all the players who are just a waste of space. These players not up to the task of playing for Liverpool and should be sold as soon as possible. As many as 12 players need to be sold this summer to make space and boost funds for new signings. The following players should be sold:

    Jones
    Darby
    Degen
    Soto
    Konchesky
    Poulsen
    Ngog
    Jovanovic
    Ngog
    El Zhar
Aquilani (no less than the agreed price)

Liverpool should be looking to buy the following players. They are all relatively young, can still improve and fits in with FSG’s transfer policy:

Baines – quality left back. Very solid defensively and excellent going forward with great crossing ability. Good free kick taker as well.
Moussa Sissoko – young defensive midfielder. Lucas has done a great job but we need one more player in that position. Sissoko fits in perfectly with the transfer policy and a hard tackling midfield destroyer like him is what we need.
James McCarthy – for now and for the future. Easily one of the best midfielders in the league in 2 years time. At 20, he can become a great player for us for the next 10 years. A quality all round centre midfielder, I would have him over Aquilani. Liverpool should do everything they can to get this guy, and before Chelsea come sniffing around.
Ashley Young – for the right price. He will provide the ammunition for Carroll with his crossing while he can also play behind the striker.
Charlie N’Zogbia – I rate this guy highly. Has been fantastic for Wigan for the past 2 seasons. He’s got the pace, can dribble, can cross, can shoot, just an excellent left footed attacking player. Can play on the left if you want him to cross, on the right to cut in and shoot and also as an attacking midfielder. He’s single handedly rescuing Wigan from relegation and is just a great player overall. Available for 10m.
