After helping Lille win their first league title since 1954, the electric winger who has drawn comparisons with Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi with his pace, trickery and flair winning the “Best Player in the French Ligue 1? this season.
The 20-year-old starlet has scored seven times in 37 Ligue 1 games this term. He is being chased by a host of top european clubs including the likes of Arsenal, Liverpool and Inter Milan. He has spoken about his desire to move to a bigger european club to further his career. When asked whether he would leave, he said:
“I don’t know. I have never played in the Champions League and I don’t know if I will be playing in it with Lille or another great club. My dream is to play for a big club soon. But, football is like this. There has to be the right offer, but I am not thinking about this for now.”
Wherever he goes, if he can fulfill his early promise he can be a massive hit. Whether that be under the tutelage of Arsene Wenger or Kenny Dalglish remains to be seen.
