In addition to an improved £15million for Jordan Henderson, Liverpool will attempt to prise £15m rated defender Phil Jones away from Blackburn Rovers, according to the Daily Mail. According to the paper, the Reds are preparing a formal offer for the 19 year old, but they are expecting competition from Arsenal and Tottenham. Jones only extended hs five year contract back in February, but has already become hot property in the Premier League for his performances in the centre of Rovers’ defence as well as in central midfield.
