Sunderland ‘deny’ £10m Liverpool bid for their captain

The Sunderland Echo is reporting that Sunderland have denied that Liverpool have offered £10million for defensive midfielder Lee Cattermole. The Black Cats told the newspaper that they were not prepared to sell one of their prized assets to the Reds. Cattermole missed three months of the season with a stress fracture of the back and has been plagued with injury problems over the last 2 years. In addition, the Echo reports that Sunderland have also denied that Liverpool have made a £13million bid for Jordan Henderson.
