Local newspaper The Journal is reporting that Liverpool striker David Ngog’s move to Sunderland could collapse unless Liverpool help out with the cost of the Frenchman’s wages. The 22 year old was to get a significant wage hike this summer if he stayed at Anfield but the Black Cats are unwilling to match the salary rise. Sunderland are now asking for the Reds to reduce the transfer fee so they can give Ngog a significant signing on fee that would persuade him to move to Wearside.

Ngog is another Babel but he needs to understand the crowd will give him a real hard time if he stays
He can stay and warm the bench, players want money more than success on the pitch.
We see young player not willing to lower his wage demands, mind you he has earned a decent amount of money so far and Sunderland is not offering petty cash too.
They simply need to pay transfer fee so they can not afford to give him big wages too.
If he had confidence that he can be a success at Sunderland then he would move regardless of the initial wage, they would bust his wage up in a season if he is good.
Maybe he has too much confidence and thinks he can succeed at Liverpool… That I doubt.
if this is true, then its a shocking scenario cos we have paid well over the odds for henderson- although i can see his potential. Like others have said here, it should have been sorted
