Newcastle full back Jose Enrique’s agent has refused to comment on his client’s future. When asked about Enrique, Salvodor Sanchez said:
“He just returned from holiday. He’s back at Newcastle and beginning preseason.”
Enrique has less than two years left on his contract and talks over a new deal are said to have stalled with interest from Arsenal and Liverpool.

Yeah I reckon you paid way over the odds for Andy – even though he might be worth it in the long run.
If you are to get pissed about a transfer then be pissed about the insane amount you paid for Average Joe Henderson from 5under1and.. talk about throwin your money away.. (and that not just me being biased against the poor bastard)
Would say though that Enrique is one of the best left backs in the PL – so you could do a lot worse (Bridge – anyone??). Personally I would mind keeping him at Newcastle.
Btw – his contract expires next summer so not two years left as stated in the article..

Yes, “down under” please stop looking at players from Newcastle, and I’ll go even further, look for your own players from other teams, don’t just follow what NUFC are doing… get a life and be original… use your own scouse scouts.

Enrique was the best LB in epl last season and when we played nufc he done a very good job and didn’t put a foot wrong all game at anfield. I would love to see Mata, Jeffren, Enrique, Adam and Soldado frm valencia come to Anfield. Soldado is a goal machine !!! Downing is ok but not better than those mentioned above
