Reds Full Back Target States: “I see no reason to leave”

Fiorentina wing back Juan Manuel Vargas has ruled out a move away from the club this summer:

“I see no reason to leave. I have had an excellent relationship with the club and the fans since I first joined the club,” noted the attacking wide player. The Della Valle family, who own the team, have always expressed great belief in my ability and have always backed me. I thus see no reason why I should have any intention to say goodbye to the Viola shirt for next season.”

27 year old Peruvian international Vargas was rumoured to be a summer target for Liverpool in the Italian press. He can play at left full back, left midfield or in central midfield.
