So who is this “Mexican Torres” set to trial at Liverpool?

|

Bueno himself, although not a poacher like his hugely impressive striker partner Fierro, is extremely creative and has a great footballing brain. A lot of Mexico’s play during the World Cup went through Bueno, and he has quick feet, smart movement and an eye for a through ball. He is also quite versatile and can play in any of the front three positions in a 4-3-3 formation and also is good at set pieces.

Of course, some have already compared Liverpool’s move for Bueno with Man U’s move for Javier Hernandez but Bueno is six years younger than when Hernandez moved to Man U and unlike Hernandez, Bueno has not played at senior international level yet.

As his nickname suggests, he has also be likened to former Liverpool striker Fernando Torres and Bueno has stated himself that he would like to play like him stating:

“I want to be like Fernando Torres, he is very skilful and I want to be like him.”

If he succeeds on his trial at Liverpool, the Reds may well have another very exciting young talent at the club.

  • Mike says:

It seems he is more like a playmaker rather than a striker.

He is actually more like Albert riera at Least that’s the position he played on the u17 wc he plays more like a left winger rather than a striker! But he is really good.
