With Caen struggling near the bottom of Ligue One, Niang’s goal was vital too as he scored within 2 minutes of the start of the match, helping Caen to a critical 1-1 draw. He was the second youngest ever scorer in Ligue One history.

8. Niang would again score a valuable goal against Rennes in a 1-1 draw. He would then score with a well composed finish to put Caen 2-0 up against Marseille on the final day of the season. Although the game finished 2-2, it was enough to keep Caen up with Niang’s goal proving crucial.

9. Niang has scored 3 goals in 4 starts and 3 substitute appearances since his debut back in April.

10. Niang is described as a powerful, athletic player and is already 6ft at 16. He is also a composed finisher going by the way he coolly finished against Marseille in a crucial match.
