7. He scored his first goal for the club on his second start for the club against Lens. With Caen struggling near the bottom of Ligue One, Niang’s goal was vital too as he scored within 2 minutes of the start of the match, helping Caen to a critical 1-1 draw. He was the second youngest ever scorer in Ligue One history.
8. Niang would again score a valuable goal against Rennes in a 1-1 draw. He would then score with a well composed finish to put Caen 2-0 up against Marseille on the final day of the season. Although the game finished 2-2, it was enough to keep Caen up with Niang’s goal proving crucial.
9. Niang has scored 3 goals in 4 starts and 3 substitute appearances since his debut back in April.
10. Niang is described as a powerful, athletic player and is already 6ft at 16. He is also a composed finisher going by the way he coolly finished against Marseille in a crucial match.
