Former Liverpool striker John Aldridge has stated that Andy Carroll needs better service if he is going to succeed at Anfield. He wrote in his column for the Liverpool Echo:
“Some people have been critical of Andy Carroll’s contribution in the opening two games but I think that’s unfair. I thought he did well in the first half at Arsenal and he was unlucky not to score with one great header. At other times in the game he was isolated. The service to him has got to be better and so has the movement around him. I’m sure that’s something they will work on in training. There’s no doubt he looks better when he has Luis Suarez for support alongside him. Carroll had a perfectly good goal against Sunderland chalked off and if he had got the winner in that game everyone would be saying he was the best thing since sliced bread. With the right service I’ve got no doubt he will deliver the goods.”
Aldo also praised the performance of the full backs against Arsenal:
“It was no surprise to hear England boss Fabio Capello praising Martin Kelly because he was tremendous at Arsenal. Key to Saturday’s win was the energy levels our full-backs showed throughout the game. They both defended well and got forward brilliantly. Right-back is probably the strongest position in the squad. Glen Johnson is England class, then there’s Kelly and Jon Flanagan, who is also a really promising talent.”

How much practice time has he had with Luis even considering they had some time last season? Give them time to gel. If we hoof to him it won’t work out well but if we continue to play our style of “pass and move” then we have a chance to do well with this combo. So far it looks like hoof to him.
At 35 mil and still need to be babysit,if that’s the excuse why didn’t they say that to other cheaper striker like n’gog and so on…..everyone need the service but you gotta be creative yourself instead of just walkabout and wait for the service,let’s face it’s the midfield and front man need technical and creative player and i doubt that with most of the english player,they are good at defence because they’re more robust,look at the tony adam and martin keown era for arsenal,How many english player do you see in the midfield and front??? Now they’re trying to coverup their mistake by protecting those descent player they’ve wrongly invested in.Am bore…..d with this kinda excuse for the mistake they made. Try listen or consider about fans opinion and suggestion regardings players,We the fans known crap player when we smell one,i myself never ever look goood on carroll,henderson and adam,while downing just and everage player,WHATA WASTE OF MONEY with all these everage joe
