Juventus are back in the running to sign Alberto Aquilani, according to the Corriere Dello Sport. Aquilani spent last year on loan at Juve but the Italian club were not prepared to pay the €16million clause written into the loan agreement, and he was sent back to Merseyside. With Liverpool now lowering their demands, the Old Lady are now prepared to reconsider bidding for the player. According to the paper, manager Antonio Conte is also considering switching from a 4-4-2 to a 4-3-3 to incorporate the likes of Pirlo, Marchisio and Aquilani into the team. AC Milan and Fiorentina are said to be rivalling Juve for the Italian midfielder’s signature.

This week it is former Miss World and LFC fan Rosanna Davison!!

If aqua leaves liverpool before joe cole and poulsen, KK might not last..

Aquilani has been our outstanding player of pre-season. Every time hes come on he’s looked alert, sharp in possession and has that slight element of class about him which many of our players do not have. Yes, we have been playing low class teams, but every other player in the squad has been playing those teams too and I think there’s only one winner when it comes to consistence in high performance levels. I think to sell him now would be an awful move; we should AT LEAST wait to re-assess the situation in January. I would go as far to say as he should be in the starting XI against Sunderland on the 13th with the absence of Gerrard. He deserves a chance. YNWA

Spot on Jim. He’s a classy player. Surely Kenny sees what he’s done in pre season and I can only hope gives him a chance.

Hey, anybody wonder what Aquaman wants to do? It will be whatever he wants! He doesn’t want to play in England. End of!!!!!

Milan and Juve might be fighting for his services. Tells you something.

Aqua is better than the bunch we paid 80m for.
I’m sure Rafa had signed much much better players than our current lot if 100m was made available to him

Agree with all who say Aqualani is class and must stay. Since his return he has played extremely well looking hungry, eager and a class above everyone else through pre season.

@Jim i would have him in my starting XI =D.

@Ansar I to have wondered if Rafa was still here what he might have done with all that cash ?.

    • probably Mata, Aguerro instead of Carroll. certainly Adam would not be in the team

The only signing he would have gone for that KK has bought would have been maybe Downing or Henderson for less money.

But then again think of what Hodgson could have done with type of money:)
