Liverpool legend Jan Molby believes that Andy Carroll is not yet showing his best form for Liverpool. He wrote in his column for the Liverpool Echo:
“Carroll is still yet to find his best form, and to see him take his goal so well was a real positive sign. I think he is one of those players who takes a bit of time to hit peak form. He is not someone who can just drop straight back in and hit the ground running, he needs games and he needs time to get sharp. At the moment I’d say he looks as fit as he has ever been, and now it is just a case of matching that with sharpness, which looks like it is improving game upon game.”
Molby also believes it will take time for both Charlie Adam and Jordan Henderson to adapt to how the Reds play:
“At Blackpool, Adam had a team designed to get the best out of him, and had pretty much a free role to carry the team forwards. The side had genuine width and lots of protection for him in the midfield. He has less of that here, and so will need to get used to a different system of play. Henderson is a high-tempo player, he likes to use his energy to close down and get across the pitch. With him it is a case of finding his best position on the field – which could well be in the centre, long-term – before we see the very best of him.”

Kenny buy british so they can settle in straight away but it look’s like the foreign player is the the one who adapt to EPL sooner then those british player,henderson,carroll and adam still need time or maybe they are not good enough,joe cole said he needs time and was play out of position,all i know was this is their excuse excuse excuse

It’s got nothing to do with nationality and all to do with the personality involved, Suarez had moved around before/plenty international experience as well and is a couple of years older. It’s Carrol and Henderson’s first move (even from home) and they are also younger! So cop on you so called ‘liverpool fans’ and give them six months at least!!!!!
we paid over the odds for these english players since they were supposed to have experience in the top flight i dont see why they need time.instead we should have brought in some quality foreign players and given them enough time,kennys whole policy seems contradicting. What a waste of money on these average english players. Carroll isnt gonna get any better so stop having hopes

Honestly, kk and dc said openly that they’ll prefer to pay the premium to acquire established player in the league than foreign players because they settle in well. Thus downing over mata, enrique over cishoko………
Carrol is also part of it and liverpool paid the premium, why are we talking about adaptation
