Monaco striker Park Chu-Young was offered to Newcastle United by his French club, according to the Evening Chronicle. The paper reports that the Magpies turned down the opportunity to sign the South Korean international, who has been looking for a move away since Monaco were relegated from Ligue One last season. He scored 12 goals last campaign and has been linked with Liverpool, Tottenham and Wigan.
