Three Reds Players who seem to be stuck in Transfer Limbo

|

For the Reds management, it is a difficult situation to get right. It is clear from the comments of Kenny Dalglish and Damien Comolli that the club is looking to offload some players. For obvious reasons, the names of these players have been kept private, but they have also been kept from the players themselves. If a player is for sale, and doesn’t leave in the transfer window, it can be an awkward situation as can be demonstrated by the many out of favour players at Manchester City. Unhappy players can lower morale and team spirit; something that Kenny Dalglish has been trying to build up over the last few months.

Inevitably then it leaves a lot of uncertainty around certain player’s futures. Nobody is absolutely sure who is part of Kenny Dalglish’s first team plans. For the three players I have mentioned above, they are all stuck in some sort of transfer limbo. They are not quite sure if they are for sale or not.

In Emiliano Insua’s case, it could be assumed that as he is playing in the reserves, he is surplus to requirements, but there is less evidence either way about Aquilani and Poulsen. King Kenny has been very cryptic when asked about player’s futures as he has a right to when keeping everything in house at Liverpool. We will hopefully have some answers by September 1st.

  • Chambers says:

    Aquilani is NOT in limbo.

  • Stevie G (Walton) says:

My understanding is that Aquilani wants a permanent deal, but Italian clubs don’t seem to be convinced yet that he is worth a permanent deal and only want to loan him. Therefore I think he is prepared to keep his head down and prove himself to be a class player at Liverpool then maybe next season 2012-2013 an Italian club might come in for him and Liverpool will get the sort of money they paid for him back!!
