Asked about the comments made by Jamie Carragher about the Reds players being given a lift by the return to training of Steven Gerrard, manager Kenny Dalglish said:
“Look at the guy that said it. The two boys reflect everything the football club stands for. They are steeped in it. If they can pass on their knowledge and the feelings of the fans to the new players that have come in, then we will be all the better for it.”
Gerrard is not expected to start against Spurs on Sunday and may make his return against Brighton next week.
