Tottenham are to open talks with Peruvian teenager Renato Tapia, according to the People. Tapia had been linked with a move to Liverpool and although the Reds have looked at the player, reports the paper, they will not attempt to sign him as they do not believe he is strong enough for the Premier League. Central defender Tapia is 16 and cannot move to England before his eighteenth birthday, according to FIFA rules, and the most likely outcome is that Spurs sign the player and then loan him out to another club.
