Two wins are vital, considering what comes next

|

One massive factor that could be the catalyst for a revival in our fortunes comes in the form of Steven Gerrard. The skipper is expected to return either against Brighton or for the Wolves game at the weekend. It will be a massive boost to everybody. The club and fans have gone six months without our captain in the team and we are all relieved to see him back, hopefully fitter and stronger than ever.

In the next few games, Dalglish has got to lift his players and instill confidence into them. The last two games have been riddled with mistakes, giving the ball away more than I care to mention. That has got to stop, and soon. We have some magnificent passers of a football in our squad and their ability needs to shine through.

Two wins against Brighton and Wolves are essential. Not just for the reason that we want to win the Carling Cup, not just because we need to improve in the league but also due to the fact that after Wolves our next two games happen to be Everton at Goodison Park and Manchester United at Anfield. We need to enter those massive fixtures in some sort of form and with a degree of confidence that will allow us to perform to our highest standard in the two biggest fixtures of the season.

We still support. We still believe. In Kenny we trust and in the players we challenge them to step up to the plate and show us the ability we know they have.

I agree that we need expierenced/leader(S)! around the younger players that came in this season but I still think we need more than just an injury prone stevie to change our fortunes.
