Three Games that could help define Liverpool’s season

|

But there is reason for Kopites to be optimistic. Dalglish has demonstrated an ability to get results from the big games since he returned to the hot seat in January. As well as the results previously mentioned, he has also seen his side claim victories over Manchester United, Arsenal and Everton in the short time since he re-signed at Liverpool.

Another positive is that with Liverpool not having the favourites tag they have been used to in recent weeks, some of the pressure and expectation will be off the players. The benefits of this were seen last season: when Dalglish took over in January no-one expected anything from the side, but in the end they only narrowly missed out on a European place.

These upcoming fixtures have taken on more significance due to disappointing poor form from Liverpool in recent matches. It is now crucial that they pick up some results in these games, both for team morale and league standings. But given Dalglish’s recent record in the big games, don’t bet against the Reds upsetting the odds.

I am currently studying Sports Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire. I have recently finished my first year of the course, and I am hoping to hone my skills by writing pieces for live4liverpool.

I have supported Liverpool since the age of 6, and in that time my favourite player has been Robbie Fowler. My favourite match was the 2005 Champions League final against AC Milan.

Why is Dalglish Complaining now? He has always talked about depth in the team with his £100mill players. Now is the TIME to test that DEPTH. Time to enjoy some nice soccer. Nice Fixtures…..let’s see who shines among d English Flops.

    Dear Sean Mullen,

Upsetting the odd is a blind hope. kK is already crying because he sees embarassments for his team coming. I wont have to blame the players now, but he can blame the fixture timing and the FA.

He has significantly weakened rafa benitez core with his mid table mind buys in the summer. We are even now a lot slower in the midfield, so the attack is not getting enough time on the final ball to finish properly hence the missed chances.
