Second Visit To Wembley Not Guaranteed

WITH hotels and boarding houses within the surrounding areas of Anfield South, known also to the uninitiated as Wembley, being fully booked up by buoyant, incredibly positive and optimistic Scousers from the four slightly misshaped corners of the globe, not being the sort to empty my bladder on anyone’s raging fire, I considered it appropriate to firstly look at Liverpool’s opponents obstructing the path to Wembley, Stoke City.

Stoke City have actually a slightly more impressive recent record in relation to the F.A.Cup than their counter-parts in the upcoming quarter-final, having fought out the 2011 Final with Manchester City – a game they would eventually only lose out to a 74th minute goal from Yaya Toure. That defeat in last year’s final enabling Stoke to take their place in the current seasons Europa Cup; a season where Liverpool themselves would not have any European football.

Stoke are a team who should not be under-estimated having already this season come away from Anfield undefeated after a goalless fixture in mid-January, having earlier in the current season taken all three points at Goodison defeating the blue half of the City 1-0. We should also not forget their impressive home form – taking points from Manchester United and Chelsea, whilst taking all three points off Liverpool with a 1-0 victory in September.

If we compare league form there is not so much as a cigarette paper between the clubs with both teams having ten victories in The Premiership this current season and just a victory or three points [at the time of writing] between our position in the league

With former Red Peter Crouch outscoring both Andy Carroll and Luis Suarez in the league this season, they may not do things in an aesthetic manner, though they’re both organised at the back and effective at set-pieces.

My advice to all Liverpool supporters trying to book beds early assuming another trip to the capital, is do it on the credit-card in case of cancellation, just like I have.

I am a writer and sports jornalist with many passions of which Liverpool Football Club heads the list, having been a supporter since the 1974 F.A.Cup Final, I am lucky enough to have enjoyed much success through the subsequent years.
Currently I live in Nottingham & have a little soft spot for the worlds oldest club Nott's County who incidently I had trials with when I was 13, but then we have all had trials have we not!!
I am at my happiest when writing about Liverpool and football in general, I have an opinion which I want people to hear. I will always debate and converse, so dont be shy always get in touch. dont just spectate, participate.
I support both the Justice for the 96 campaign and also Dont buy the Sun, having written articles on both subjects.
Quote from my old school report " Christopher is an eye server " so i suggest you keep looking.

I am sure that you need not emphasis this to LFC fans. Stoke we know is a formidable opponent barring the way to a further visit to Wembley for the Reds.

Anything less than the full force of what LFC have to offer would be an insult to the fans. On the American broadcast of the derby it was said that it seemed like the players were fed on a diet of raw meat prior to playing the derby in years past. Time to break out those same meat platters at LFC prior to this weekends match!
