HOLIDAY time is over for the coaching staff and players of Liverpool FC as Brendan Rodgers was finally able to begin training his new squad (well, the ones who have not been involved with any international commitments) this week at Melwood.
First teamers Jamie Carragher, Maxi and Charlie Adam were joined by returning midfielders Joe Cole – fresh from his successful loan spell at Lille – and Lucas Leiva.
To see the Brazilian midfielder finally training will be a sight for sore eyes, for many a Reds fan. Young hotshots Jonjo Shelvey, Dani Pacheco and Raheem Sterling were also put through their paces and keen to make an early impression on the new manager.

I’d love to see Pacheco reinvented under Brandon Rodgers. I really think him, Suso, and Sterling Could excel with this new technique based game. Problem is when a young talented player isn’t given the backing of the club/manager it can shoot there confidence and impact there entire game.
Sick of seeing grafters with little or no flair or self belief in the first team. Hopefully BR can find a better balance.
Go ahead Brendan, Liverpoolfc fans are solidly supporting you. Success is your portion.
