Spanish winger Cristian Tello is another player that Liverpool are said to be in competition with Arsenal for, although media reports vary in their suggestion that a move would be a permanent transfer or a loan deal. With Liverpool apparently after him on loan and Arsenal rumoured to be interested in signing up on a permanent basis, Tello’s future could depend on whether or not the 21-year-old sees himself having a future at Barcelona. If Tello wants to become a first team regular at the Nou Camp, he might see a loan move to Liverpool as a good development opportunity; if he would rather leave Barcelona altogether, Tello would probably rather go to Arsenal. Of course, we could also see Tello could reject clubs and instead stay try to break into the Barca starting XI. The chances of Tello being loaned to Liverpool are slimmer than the prospect of Sahin heading to Anfield, but it is certainly a possibility.
