1. August 18th – 15.00 West Brom (A)

|

Last season, a trip to the Hawthorns rewarded us with a comfortable 3 points and a hard earned 2-0 victory. This season will see Rodgers begin his Premier League tenure with Liverpool in the West Midlands, facing a side who have also had a change in management. Reds fans will all be familiar with Steve Clarke, who left the club alongside Dalglish. A massively successful assistant, the Scotsman has now decided to take the reins at a Premier League club. While the Baggies haven’t altered their squad drastically, they still remain a solid team who are capable of causing upsets at any given moment; just ask those present at Anfield last season when West Brom grabbed a 1-0 victory. Still, I believe that Clarke will have a tougher time settling in to his new home than Rodgers will and a similar scoreline in the same fixture last season could be on the cards.

Prediction- West Brom1-2 Liverpool

Jimmy Areabi (Editor) - @fantasista1077: Huyton raised like Steven Gerrard, football has been my passion since the time I received a Kenny Dalglish badge as a toddler, and I've followed the Reds ever since – something that was easier during the 80s, when I worshipped John Barnes! I've produced work for many football media outlets & am now happy to run a major site on the club I love - providing our fans with a voice, and to bring as much information and news on the club as possible.
Having played football all my life, I aim to continue longer than Stanley Matthews...
