Suarez keen to play with Ronaldo

Real Madrid LiverpoolLUIS Suarez has seemingly entered another nail into his Anfield coffin after Sky Sports and The Metro reported that the Uruguayan would relish the opportunity to play alongside Real Madrid’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

Suarez sent shockwaves around Anfield last month when he revealed his intentions to leave the club, citing bad treatment – including intrusiveness – from the English press as his reason for leaving.

Since then Liverpool have gone public on the issue stating that they will not sell their star striker, who was given a 10 match ban last season for biting Chelsea defender Branislav Ivanovic, but this approach does not seem to have dented Suarez’s desire determination to move to a new club.

Madrid are believed to be weighing up an offer of around £50 million for the 26 year old, and Suarez has already stressed his admiration for Madrid’s star man, Cristiano Ronaldo.

“Of course I would like to play with Ronaldo, he is a great player, you never know, but it is complicated. At the moment he is in Madrid and I am in Liverpool and I do not know what is going to happen.”

Suarez also elaborated further on his dislike for the English press, stating: “As soon as I arrived in England I didn’t like the press, they have never judged me on how I play football, they judged me on my attitude.

“They said I dived, moaned, postured, they said I was racist, everything. They have never spoken well of me.”

Hey all, I'm 17 years old and I've only been writing sports articles for a couple of months. I'm an aspiring journalist living in the Anfield area (about 5 minutes from the stadium, seriously, I can hear the roar of the Kop from my house!) I've been a lifelong supporter along with my entire family (except one Uncle, but we don't need to talk about that) and I've followed the Reds through the good and the bad times - and there's been a lot of both. I recently got accepted into college and shall be taking a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Journalism, with this hopefully being the first step towards a full time career in journalism.

Cristiano Ronaldo: “Without question Luis Suarez is a very good footballer, but if he thinks I would enjoy playing with him in the same team, he would be dreaming. I do not associate myself with uncouth characters.”

Suarez needs attention , he lacks discipline and is a bomb that can go off at anytime, so may be its best he get his crazy ass out of dodge. ..I say take the £50+million

I like this guy for saying the truth, i dont want him to go but we cant hold it against him. I hope we keep him for a while or get £70mil for him even though he is worth more. HE WILL NEVER WALK ALONE

  • Danny says:

Better than playing with Joe Allen

  • Freddie says:

Maybe if Liverpool showed some ambition and signed some top quality players instead of the average ones we are buying. Maybe then Suarez might want to stay.

  • Raam says:

It was reported that he had said it would be great to play with ronaldo. Nothing was mentioned about him saying that he is going to Madrid or anywhere. Hes just whining about the press. No official report claiming he handed in transfer request or any official approach from Madrid. Untill either of that happens and officialy anounced,he remains a LFC player.
