ARSENAL could face a double-setback in their pursuit of a high-profile striker this summer, with news that Real Madrid are preparing to step in with an offer for Luis Suarez – and may use Gonzalo Higuain as bait.
Both the Daily Mail and Mirror have reported that Madrid will make their interest in Suarez official over the coming days, in light of Arsenal’s offer for the Uruguayan; who had an initial offer of £30 million turned down last week.
The Gunners have also been chasing Real’s Higuain this summer, and had hoped to have the deal confirmed weeks ago, however their failure to capture the Argentine resulted in their attentions being turned towards Liverpool’s number 7.
Now though, sources in Spain have indicated the Bernabeu side will offer Higuain to Liverpool, in exchange for Suarez.
That would represent a massive double-blow to Arsene Wenger who is desperate for quality reinforcements up-front, and would miss out on his two prime striking targets in one move.
For their part, Liverpool have always insisted that their star forward is not for sale, and would not be interested in any player-plus-cash offering, with only offers in excess of £40 million being considered; and even then, only if the player submits an official transfer request – something he is yet to do.
In either case, Brendan Rodgers is ready to take the situation as close to the end of the transfer window as possible, in hopes that he may keep hold of the player, or cash in on their star at a higher price.

Selling Suarez ia not an option right now and if he goes and we dont bring in a prolific striker BR will surely lose his job by Xmas.
If Suarez puts in a formal transfer to Real Madrid then LFC should listen to at least £55m with Alonso or Higuain thrown in as the deal.
Suarez is in the top 5 best strikers in Europe right now and LFC have to keep firm and not give in unless its the right deal for Liverpool Football Club.

Rodgers should not allow Suarez to leave for amount below £52m. If he finally leave for amount ward £50m-£52m, then Rodgers should use it and fund the following players; brasilian duo, Decustava of (bayern munich) and Benard, (Ajax star) Christian Erickson, and Morata (Real Madrid).
If Suarez wants to go Liverpool should sign Bruma £20m as a replacement after Morata £6(spelling ) from R Madrid these are 2 young players who will go to the very top in world football and sign Oscar Cordoza 30 £14m to fill in while the other two develop into the players they will be
